Thank you so much Melissa for giving my blog the Liebster award - what a nice surprise!
The Liebster is awarded to spotlight up and coming bloggers who currently have less than 200 followers. 'Liebster' is a German word meaning dear, sweet, kind, nice, good, beloved, lovely, kindly, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. What a gift to be awarded with such kindness! Now for the rules:
Here are five of my favorite blogs, in no particular order:1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers.
5. And most of all - have fun!
Homeplace Earth - Every couple of weeks, Cindy writes something informative on permaculture and sustainable food production - from compost and cover crops to building cold frames and mini-green houses. I just love reading what she has to say.
Recipes to Nourish - Sweet Emily posts recipes made with real food that help to nourish and heal our bodies. They also happen to be extremely delicious. Check out some of her ice cream and fudge recipes!
Farmama - One of my all time favorite blogs to follow. I'm not really sure how many followers Sara has, but definitely check out her site. Her family farms on a small acreage and sells their produce at their local farmer's market. She blogs about the happenings on her farm, the food they grow and eat, and the sustainable life they are trying to lead.
The Adventure Learning Company - Leah is a fellow Saskatchewan blogger and gardener who shares my love of heritage seeds, real food, home cooking and deliberate living in tune with the seasons.
Heal Balance Live - Another site devoted to healing food, with a bent towards recipes that meet the guidelines of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. Just like me, Karen suffered from unexplainable health issues that were remedied by removing certain food from her diet - namely, sugar and grains.
