The weather this spring has been cold, wet and grey. Temperatures have been dropping down to 2°C to 4°C at night, with frost warnings well past our usual frost free date. We have had incredible gusts of winds that shredded leaves and broke stems in an hour or two on plants that took months to grow. Often I was out planting in the rain or in muddy ground because the sun refused to shine long enough to dry things out.

While it seemed like we would never get the garden in, it is finally done after many long days of work and a week later than usual. And now, we are resting and taking a little bit of a break and enjoying the sunshine that seems to have finally arrived. I will be back on Thursday for 'Around the Yard'.
